Pauline Zbinden · Portfolio

From the idea to the finished solution — this is what I build.

I am a software developer and business analyst based in Sisseln, in Switzerland’s Fricktal region. This page shows five projects I designed and built myself — from a web app for a parents’ group to a tool that checks whether ChatGPT knows a company.

Web app · Personal project

Kinderbörse

Exchange for children’s clothes and toys · Fricktal

A WhatsApp group of more than 500 members swaps children’s clothes and toys — but in the chat, every offer is buried within hours. Kinderbörse gives the listings a permanent home: search, filter, find again. Contact still happens through WhatsApp.

  • Search by category, size, age, price and radius around your own postcode
  • Child profiles: one tap shows what fits your child right now
  • Built for phones — members join through an invitation link, no app store needed
  • Three days from the first idea to the launch in the group

Private app — access for group members only.

Spielgruppe Sunneschiin

Playgroup, baby group & parent-and-child gym · Sisseln AG

Three offers under one roof — and a website where parents find what they are looking for in seconds: when, where, for which age and how to sign up.

  • Three offers clearly separated, with place, times and age at a glance
  • Contact via WhatsApp in one click, registration forms to download
  • Just as clear on a phone as on a computer
  • Behind the scenes: structured data so that Google and ChatGPT understand the playgroup correctly

Example website for a restaurant

Gasthaus Lindenstube · an entirely fictional restaurant

This is what the website of a village restaurant could look like: atmospheric, with large images and a clear path to booking a table. The restaurant is invented and the images are AI-generated — the structure and design are real.

  • Booking is always one click away — by form or by phone
  • The kitchen, the evening atmosphere and banquets each get their own section
  • Room for real Google reviews as proof of trust
  • Just as polished on a phone as on a large screen

Website · My own business

zbinden.online

Trilingual website with a savings calculator

My own website — in German, French and English. Its centrepiece is a calculator that shows prospects in one minute how much time and money an automation could save in their business.

  • 14 industries with typical processes, each in three languages
  • The estimate is generated as a PDF right in the browser and also arrives by email — automatically, with a link to book a call
  • Built without a site builder: fast pages, structured data, open to AI crawlers

AI visibility test

Does ChatGPT mention your company?

More and more people ask ChatGPT or Perplexity for a recommendation instead of googling. This tool asks both systems eight typical customer questions about an industry and a place, live — and records whether a company is named in the answers.

  • Eight questions, the way real customers ask them — live to ChatGPT and Perplexity
  • The result is a short PDF report in plain language, without jargon
  • The basis of my free AI check and of the GEO audit

Background

Engineering and requirements analysis — both from practice

For almost five years at Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence in Aarau I developed C++ embedded software for the controller of Laser Tracker measuring systems on QNX – including an IoT integration, driver and hardware abstraction on x86, and end-to-end integration and unit tests.

As a Junior Consultant at Drees & Sommer Switzerland, my focus was then the interface between business units, clients and development: analysing requirements, structuring them and translating them into workable technical solutions.

Today I combine the two: I listen until it is clear what is really needed — and then I build it myself.
