Your data stays with you
Automation does not mean your data leaves the building. Before every project, I agree with you in writing which data flows where.
Runs on your accounts
The automation works in your existing environment, for example in Microsoft 365 or in your business applications. I do not store any client data on my side.
Data location agreed in writing
The default is processing in Switzerland or in the EU. For particularly sensitive data, I choose solutions hosted in Switzerland. As an option, the AI model can also run locally on a computer in your company; the data then doesn't leave your network.
Sensitive data processed separately
For delicate content, identifying details such as names, addresses or customer numbers can be replaced with placeholders before AI processing. The AI service then sees only the content, not the person; the mapping stays in your environment and is only restored there. Whether that is sufficient for your process is clarified case by case.
No training on your data
I only use AI services that are contractually bound not to use your data to train their models.
Data processing agreement
With every client I sign an agreement under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP). It governs access, confidentiality and deletion.
The human decides
The AI prepares, your staff review and approve.
No lock-in
Everything is documented and belongs to you. You can carry on without me at any time.
Kinderbörse: bringing order to a WhatsApp group with 529 members
members signed up in the first three days – 13% of the group.
- Starting point: A children's clothing exchange ran in a WhatsApp chat. Offers got buried in the thread, and nobody found what they were looking for.
- Implementation: A web app with listings, filters by size and category, and children's profiles. Access with the group code only.
- Result: launched on 6 October 2026. Three days later, 71 of the 529 members had signed up and 42 listings were online.

What a Quick Win looks like in practice
Illustrative scenario based on common SME processes — not a real client reference, but a calculation you can check.
- Starting point: quotes are assembled by hand — look up line items in the ERP, check prices, fill the template, generate the PDF. Around 40 minutes per quote, about 15 quotes a week.
- Implementation: an agent pulls the line items from the ERP, calculates prices from defined rules, fills the quote template and files the PDF. The employee reviews and sends.

The principle: count what is genuinely mechanical — looking up information, copy-paste, filling templates, formatting — and set aside what needs human judgement or handling special cases. You also need to keep some time to check the result.
- 70–90% — highly repetitive, well-defined task: data entry, data extraction, follow-ups, document generation.
- 40–60% — mixed task: a mechanical part, a few decisions case by case.
- 15–30% — task that mostly relies on analysis, advice or the client relationship.
Example. Preparing a quote takes ~40 min: look up line items in the ERP, check prices, fill the template, generate the PDF. The agent prepares everything, the employee reviews and sends in ~6 min — about 85% less time on this task.

I'm Pauline Zbinden, founder of Zbinden Software. For five years I built embedded software in C++ at Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence, then, as a consultant at Drees & Sommer Switzerland, I analysed requirements and translated them into technical solutions. Both feed into this work: clean delivery and a clear eye for which process is actually worth automating.
With AI tools, a lot can be put together quickly today, and that is often a good start. For an automation to run reliably day to day, it takes the parts you don't see in a demo: error handling, testing, data protection and documentation that someone else can work with too. That is the craft I learned as a software developer.

No. Standard Process Automation (CHF 900 fixed price) automates an internal workflow, for example capturing networking contacts.
